Two Pesos Steamboat @ Kota Damansara

Two Pesos Steamboat has been incredibly successful after it's first venture in SS2. They specialize in individual steamboat at a extremely affordable priced. Served with a multitude of vegetables, fishballs, and your choice of meat if it ain't vegetarian. Not forgetting that bowl of rice or noodles, that compliments well with the sauces available.

The entrance.

After a short period of time, Two Pesos has finally introduce its second outlet here in Kota Damansara. Everything seems to be as the way it was in SS2, with minor tweaks and changes to make the place a little more spacious. But overall, the concept and idea remains.

Two Pesos also has a few new items on the menu, to commemorate the new outlet along with adding variety to its menu. Which is exactly why I am here!

Two Pesos BBQ - RM19.50

This is one of their latest additions, and also by far one of the most unique that I've seen. It features a two-way pleasure system - a standard broth steamboat and a pan grill. Served with an abundance of vegetables and, a plate of pork slice with sweet marinate that is made in-house.

While the soup side of is boiling, simply cook the onions till brown, then carry on placing the slice of pork onto it. The onions will not only assist in flavour, but aroma as well. There is also an additional side of sweet marinate that is used to brush on the meat while its cooking. Overall, this was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

Lemon Seafood - RM16

I will have to admit, the pot is rather cute despite my dislike towards Hello Kitty. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this pot of treasure for those who enjoy something a little more herbish and sour. Ingredient wise, it was really generous, as you can see by the fullness of the pot. The soup is not only appetizing, but extremely addictive as well. Definitely worth going for.

Sour Greenings - RM15

This is actually one of my favourite, besides the new Two Pesos BBQ and Milky Seafood. The reason is because the broth was simply amazing, where it had that tinge of sourness and a rich depth of flavour.

How is it possible for it to be so flavourful? Well the idea is fairly simple. They started off by frying some pickled vegetables, onions and pork slices with sesame and spring onion. This will create the base of the broth, making it savoury and sweet. Once that is done, a sour and light broth will be added and continued cooking. The soup will taste absolutely amazing at the end of it. This definitely goes under my highly recommended list.

Italian Tomato - RM16

For a taste of Italy, why not try out their Italian Tomato? With similar amount of generosity on its vegetables, but not so much on the sliced pork, it still is a pretty good bowl of steamboat. The tomato base has a light and sour taste to it, while the additional ingredients helped sweetened it up. Not my favourite, but I can foresee those who likes tomatoes to go for this.

Wintermelon Tea, Passionfruit Ice, Iced Lemon Tea and Lemongrass Tea - RM2.80 each

Not forgetting their array of drinks, which was pretty refreshing to go with the steamboat. My favourite was the passionfruit ice and wintermelon tea.

Overall, the steamboat at Two Pesos was indeed delicious. I really liked the concept of individuality, or rather, for those who wanna try out an array of flavours. Everything was fresh, which is one of the most important things in steamboat. Sauces were great and everything worked really well together. Just like the first time I've had it, it is still pretty darn good.
