DV Ristorante Pizzeria (Revisit) @ Bukit Damansara

8:00:00 AM

It's been some time since my last visit at DV Ristorante Pizzeria. I think close to two years ago, went I was invited by VibeHero. Anyway, I'm back again to try out what I've missed before. The place hasn't changed much, except for the fact that they have a new wood-fire oven pizza.

Napoli - RM24

I've had one of the more basic pizza, the Napoli. A tomato base pizza topped with anchovies and capers. The pizza was beautifully made, with a crusty edge and just the right ratio of dough at the base. The tomato sauce was rich in flavour and refreshing as well, could taste that natural sweetness. The anchovies and capers can be considered as the flavour provider as most of the saltiness comes from it. Topped with just the right portion of cheese, the Napoli Pizza by DV Ristorante Pizzeria simply was delicious.

Insalata Mediterranea - RM20

A simple serving of mix greens, grilled zuchini and eggplant, artichokes, olives and finished with asiago cheese and balsamic vinegar. Very simple, plenty of different textures and extremely delicious. This is the bowl of salad that I don't mind to eat every meal.

Farfalle Beef Cheeks - RM26

Though the serving size was a little small, the pasta was packed with tomato goodness. The beef cheeks were cooked for 2-3 hours, making it immensely tender and juicy, soaking up all the goodness of the sauce. The Farfalle pasta was a little odd as the center of it was undercooked but everything else was nicely done. Regardless, the taste was rich and savoury.

In conclusion, I know I haven't tried all the food yet, but considering after two years, the food was still pretty damn good. The price is quite reasonable as well. Casual dining place with wood-fire oven pizza, why not?
