Liselle Tea by Purple Cane (Collaboration) @ KLCC

1:35:00 PM

Tea, has always been part of my everyday life. Lunch, dinner and even before sleeping, I would pour myself a cup of aromatic and rich (preferably bitter) tea. As everyone knows, tea comes in various flavours; green tea, oolong tea, jasmine tea, so on and so forth. And among those that I've tried, I would say I enjoy Green Tea and Pu Er Tea the most.

Liselle Tea from Purple Cane which includes 4 different exotic flavours.

In collaboration between Lisa Lee, an artist and Purple Cane, a well known tea company, have released a new series of tea called Liselle Tea. The collaboration will include the artist, Lisa Lee's paintings for the packaging.

A brief summary of the artist, Lisa. She was initially a lecturer but decided to further pursue her dreams in art. In 2010, she went to UK to complete her Masters. Upon returning to Malaysia, she has dedicated herself to being an artist and aimed at bringing a good brand locally. "It was a daring move." she said. "That is the emotion I want to show within the paintings; a daring spirit."

Liselle Tea is considered Lisa's second series of art collaboration products. Her first series, is this....

A beautiful collectible box with cute design imprints on each product. The first series was release approximately 2 and a half years ago. The target was more towards CDs, T-shirt and collaboration between music academies. For more information about the first series, do visit www.liselle.com.my

My first taste at 2 of the selected teas, Jasmine and Rose tea. The flavours were pretty light, forgiving, calm and relaxing. I'm not sure if those are the words to describe the taste of the tea but it certainly felt that way.

"So why tea?" we asked. Her reply was fairly simple and considerate, "We require a certain calmness within and purple can has given me an inspiration. Despite the world being full of excitement, at the end of the day, we require a calm ending. That is why I chose tea as a canvas of my paintings."

Personally, I would say the approach is accurate. The tea does provide a calming and relaxing sensation after drinking. Its smooth and aromatic aroma tingles back and forth my tongue and nose.

Lisa with all 4 flavours of tea!

As I mentioned earlier, there are 4 different flavours of tea available:-

Liselle Rose Tea

Rose tea is famous known for its many medicinal properties. It is the best source of Vitamin C which helps to build a stronger immune system, strengthening the digestive system and detoxification. Therefore, rose tea is highly used to help the body to fight off colds and flu as well as alleviate potential high fever. In addition, roses are particularly essential for women to calm and ease some relief from mild depression.

Liselle Jasmine tea
Jasmine is considered as a scented tea. China has a long and famed history with tea, and Jasmine tea first appears during the Song Dynasty, which was mainly reserved for the royalty. One reason jasmine tea is so popular is due to its ability in improving the strength of immune system, stress relief and weight loss. The antioxidant properties of jasmine tea also help to increase your metabolism and belief to prevent high cholesterol level and blood pressure.

Liselle Blooming Scented Tea
Blooming Scented Tea is a combination of quality young shoots of tea leaves and flowers skillfully hand-tied together into bundles. When brew into hot water, pretty petals bloom in the glass with an elegant appearance. This pack includes different types of flowers to enjoy and pleasantly soothing to offer the benefits of skin whitening, promoting metabolism and enhancing immunity. It is definitely an amazing tea for a refreshing and lasting appreciation in its beauty and taste.

Liselle Lychee Black Tea
Lychee Black Tea is made from Black Tea which has been scented with lychee. Lychee is a sweet tropical fruit that is popular in Asia. Its natural sweetness and perfume pairs perfectly with black tea, creating a delicious and mild infusion that is as good served cold as well. When preparing and drinking this tea, one is instantly amazed with its strong pleasantly sweet fruity aroma. When brewed the tea has a reddish brown hue and a light sweet honey-like taste.
