Don't you guys just love eggs? Not just any regular chicken eggs, but roes in specific. Things such as prawn roes, fish roes and even crab roes, those little clumps of joy burst into wonderful flavours, and is definitely one worth going for. Fortunately, you'll be able to savour a the richness and delicacy of crab roes at Restoran Ocean Seafood as it is one of their main selling points.

The other thing that I believe is worth noting is the fact that they offer one of the cheapest available seafood in the region. As low as RM15 per plate! and not stingy in portioning either!

The entrance.

Braised Chicken with Salted Fish Sauce

Starting off with something simple, a serving of tender, juicy and flavour-packed chicken that goes great with some rice. Served generously in a claypot, this bowl is good enough to be shared by 3-4 pax.

Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables

Followed by a plate of beautifully stir-fried plate of vegetables that has just the right amount of seasoning and texture. The various ingredients such as lotus, carrots, a fried shrimp gives it that crunchiness that I simply enjoy.

Asam Scallops - RM15

Flavour, flavour and more flavour. This is what Restoran Ocean Seafood's asam scallops is all about. Beautifully cooked till tender, the scallops had soaked up the flavours of the accompanying vegetables and sauce, giving it a rich and savoury taste. The vegetables used also gave it a bit of crunch and texture which is great!

Dried Assam Prawn - RM15

Up next, gorgeous servings of large prawns cooked in a sweet and spicy Dried Assam sauce. Meat so tender and fresh that peeling off the skin was fairly easy. However, don't forget to suck on it first to extract all the flavour before proceeding onto the flesh.

Signature Claypot Steam Fish - RM18/RM25/RM28

For an added luxury, you can opt for the claypot steam fish that comes with 6 different options of fish to choose from. Grouper, Seabass, Pomfret, Stingray, Thread Fin and Parrot are available at the same price, according to your portion. However, it is subjected to availability and there are averagely 3 per day.

Fish was steamed to tender perfection alongside a good amount of herbs and vegetables to bring out the fragrance of the dish. The flavour was also well absorbed and the flesh falls of the bone effortlessly. With this price range, it is definitely worth going for!

Crab is Superior Soup - RM58

Onto something that Restoran Ocean Seafood has the rights to brag about - crabs. They offer a wide variety of cooking styles, each with a unique blend of their own. As for the ones I had, it was done in superior soup. One of which packed in a whole lot of flavour and depth. The crabs were also fresh and cooked beautifully, where cracking the shells was fairly effortless.

To those that loves roe, you will not be left behind as the crabs that they offer comes with plenty of them. Just look at the second photo!

Ginger & Spring Onions White Pepper Crabs - RM38 (M)

Look at the glorious shine of those crab and their respective roes. My god, doesn't that look absolutely delicious? Similarly, the flavours were great and the crabs were fresh. The sauce used for the crabs too gave it a nice depth of flavour, without overpowering the natural sweetness of the crab.

Before the cooking process!

Overall, I personally think that Restoran Ocean Seafood has lived up to its name.
