MACE by Coffee Chemistry Signature is one of the latest additions to the Damansara Uptown's range of eateries. The name does sound familiar, Coffee Chemistry, only to find out that it was previously opened in First Subang before the mall went into some renovation issues. Regardless, this new place is really chic and was beautifully designed.

Done in magnificent white, the place is a natural gift for those who loves to Instagram. Having 2 storeys, the upper floor is normally used for functions, events or parties. On a normal day, it's usually blocked off.
Unlike most cafes available in Uptown, MACE by Coffee Chemistry Signature offers a range of western and local delights. Perhaps in the near future, they will introduce more local delicacies instead of western dishes simply because there are too many cafes doing so.
They are also one of the few cafes that uses a Graffeo brand coffee beans which is roasted in Singapore but imported from the States.
3D Art Latte - RM16.50
Cute bears! MACE by Coffee Chemistry Signature is one of the cafes that does 3D latte art and etching. The drink itself was certainly pleasant, but what attracted me more was the fact that I could slowly destroy the lives of this bear family. Eating their heads off, one by one.
Salmon Wrap - RM21
The smoked salmon wrap that I had certainly felt really healthy. It's made with fresh lettuce, shallots, tomatoes, smoked salmon and some homemade dressing, wrapped in a warm tortilla wrap and served with tortilla chips and salad on the side. Simple, healthy and rather, quite addictive too.
MACE Wholeleg Chicken (rice) - RM22
This dish, despite looking really simple, was absolutely phenomenal. The roasted chicken was marinated and fried to crispy perfection, while maintaining a moist and succulent flesh. The sambal served too had a great depth of flavour along with a tinge of spiciness which worked harmoniously with the rice and roasted chicken.
I don't know what the tortilla chips were doing there, but the owner said it had temporary replace the papadom due to depletion of stock. In short, it was delightful.
Al Funghi Mushroom Olio Pasta - RM16
The pasta I had was somewhat mediocre. I felt that it had the potential to be something better, but was left unfinished. The flavour was rather bland and the essence of mushroom was not found. However, with a bit of tweaking and sauce variation, it might just work.
Honeycomb Cheesecake
The honeycomb cheesecake was certainly a delight to have. The homemade crushed honeycomb was a great way to counter the richness of the cheesecake. After all, the cake itself was rich and velvety. It is also served with a custom drawing, where each visitor may get a different artwork.
Overall, MACE by Coffee Chemistry Signature is more than just a coffee place. It's a great place for lunch as they offer a variety of main courses at a pretty reasonable price. It's also a pleasant place to chill and relax over a cup of coffee. Not forgetting the white-ish finish of the place, it's a great place to take food photos too!
I just found out about their on-going promotion - Coffee Buffet! which is similar to what Coffee Society did few years back. Anyway, I found a new place to drink till my kidney stops functioning!
