Rain Party Event @ Luna Bar, KL

8:00:00 AM

Over the years of my University life, I have never visited a club before – except for that one time for the Celcom Event. Other than that, I tend to stray away from any exciting places. However, I do visit pubs and bars occasionally, usually for a friend’s celebration or during vacation. Anywho, I’ve been invited to join a rain party event at Luna Bar and it seemed really interesting, hence my participation.

The view of the city!
Upon arrival at Luna Bar, though the parking was horrible, the setting of the place was really nice. It had that sort of ambiance embedded within the design itself. Oddly shaped ceiling-cutouts with bright neon blue ambiance light facing directly at the pool.

The pool itself was relatively spacious considering the size was half the entire floor layout.  There was also a ‘DJ Pod’ at one corner of the pool, displaying the DJs inside (especially if it’s a hot girl DJ). Surrounding the pool itself are various lounge-bed that can be found in most beaches around the world. Pretty decent I would say – very swimming pool-ish atmosphere.

On the second floor, or what I would like to call the ‘Observation Deck’, simply because you could get a nice view of both the cityscape and your choice of gender directly below at the pool.

Apart from their beautiful view of the city, DJ and whomever is it that you wish to stalk, Luna Bar also offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages, consisting of the basic Carlsbery, Tiger and Asahi to more premium liquor or single malt whisky. I’m not exactly good with alcohol but I do enjoy Guinness Stout.

Our very own Asahi.

Luna Bar also serve some hand titbits, or so as I call them. I really liked the first plate of halved-chicken wings. Basically the chicken wing itself has been divided into quarters. Crispy, well marinated and really addictive. Couldn’t stop eating them.

Other finger food included were pizzas and sausages that were fun to eat – but not something that I would consider a delicious meal.

Coupled with some beer and the constant flow of artificially controlled rain, the place was quite hyped.  With random people jumping in the pool and of course, douchebaggy friends that push one another in the pool. Regardless of which, it was really fun to watch as I sat and enjoy my cold pint of Guinness Stout.

Overall, Luna Bar prides itself around its awesome roof top pool. It is also well anchored right beside the KL Tower so looking directly up-close isn’t an issue. The drinks were pretty decent but the energy and vibe from Luna Bar was what we would say, ‘happening’.
