Wetzel's Pretzels @ Sunway Pyramid

Over the years, Auntie Anne's has been doing extremely well without much pretzel competition. Even if there were, most of them weren't and aren't solely providing pretzels. In fact, Auntie Anne's has been Malaysia's most popular pretzel provider over the years. It's aromatic and buttery scent of freshly made pretzels, the garlic butter they use, the salt, and most importantly, the taste and texture of their pretzels has got Malaysians hooked on spending at least RM4-5 per serving.

However, though this may be a little late, is probably the closest competitor that Auntie Anne's face. Wetzel's Pretzels, with such a funky name, will it deliver similar, if not better, awesomely tasting pretzels as Auntie Anne's or worst? Luckily enough, I had some coupons from Worthybook with me so I thought I'd give it a try.

First and foremost, it was because I had a buy 1 free 1 coupon that I'm actually trying this out. Pretty broke for the month as I'm yet to start working. Anyways, on to the taste itself.

The pretzel was glazed with plenty of melted salted butter along with a handful of garlic. Not actual garlic but I presume they'd use garlic powder or essence of some sort. Flavour wise, was simply amazing. Salty and distinctively garlicky. The pretzel itself was also warm, soft and crisp on the outside. Overall, loved it. 

Whether or not it's better than Auntie Anne's....well not exactly. But I would say they are of equal standards. It's just the price difference and variety available. I enjoy both from time to time ever since!
