Fresh Seafood directly from Pulau Ketam @ MySeafoodMart

Online shopping is nothing new to any of us. Instead, I believe plenty of internet users these days prefer to shop online for its convenience and discounts. However, as usual as it may sound, this is the first time I've heard about an online seafood grocer. The best part? They actually deliver it to your doorstep. However, delivery is only available on Wednesday and Saturdays from 12pm to 10pm. There will be additional charges, RM15 but if anyone were to purchase above RM200, delivery will be free.

Benny, the co-owner of this company, guarantees its freshness of every product. If the order is pleaded 'unfresh' or 'guilty', he will not charge a single cent or a full refund will be given! No worries about the freshness now.

It works exactly like eBay! Well kinda, but nevertheless, the website is still looking really neat and straight forwarded. I believe anyone with a sufficient amount of Computer Knowledge to access Facebook would know how to do this.

We tried to order some and brought it to City Star Restaurant located in Taman Bukit Mayang Emas. This restaurant allowed us to bring our own seafood product and prepared it for us. They only charge us for cooking it, so it was pretty worth it.

Fresh in a box!

Dragon Tiger Grouper - RM60/kg

Big Red Prawns - RM81.20/kg

Bamboo Clams - RM18/kg

The main entrance

Vietnamese styled Prawns - 2KGs in total.

Amazingly fried Vietnamese styled prawns. Not only the sauce was great but the prawns were really fresh too. It was juicy and chewy, not rubbery. After every bite, there was a slight burst of prawn juice which was really hard to get anywhere else. Furthermore, the size of the prawns was really enjoyable for someone like me who bites it as a whole.

"Kam Heong" styled Bamboo Clams - 1kg

Garlic and Ginger Steamed Bamboo Clams - 1kg

We divided the Bamboo clams into 2 different way of preparation. One "Kam Heong" and another "Garlic and Ginger". Unfortunately, the restaurant has overcooked these plates of giant bamboo clams. I personally prefer the "Kam Heong" serving due to its rich and flavourful flavour but the Garlic and Ginger tasted a little fresher and natural. Last but not least, the shell detaches really easily which makes it really easy to eat.

Steamed Dragon Grouper

A simple serving of steamed grouper with soy sauce, awkwardly cut at a very funny angle. Besides being juicy, firm and plump, the meat has did not taste nor smell fishy at all. Moreover, the meat slides of the bones rather easily. Overall, a great fish no doubt!

Local Spinach Stir Fried with Garlic and Egg

Fresh, vibrant and flavourful. Goes amazingly well with rice.

Butter-milk and Marmite Styled Pork

I really do not know which to choose. The butter-milk with curry leaves had a smooth yet aromatic flavour but the Marmite styled was salty and goes great with rice. Both cooked perfectly, leaving the meat juicy and tender.

Golden Coin Tofu

I really love tofu. Unfortunately, this was not. The tofu skin was crispy and the sauce was great but the tofu itself wasn't consistent or smooth. It had lumps and holes here and there and it tasted really soggy somewhat. Chopped shallots and spring onions were a good addition but the tofu itself still wasn't good.
