Whup Whup Cafe @ SS13, Subang Jaya

5:03:00 PM

Whup Whup was previously a industrial yarn factory that has now turned into a contemporary cafe. Located in the factory area of Subang SS13, this cafe is fairly easy to locate with the use of Google Maps or Waze. Or you could just look for UCSI International School, as it's right around the area.

A rather spacious interior with a few unique looking furnitures; some were the machine used before this and has now turned into a table or similar sort.

Starting off with a few cups of coffee. The double shot espresso that I ordered was fairly fruity, and not very acidic, despite it being a double shot. It did however, had a lingering fruity flavour at the end. Simple and enjoyable.

Pimped Grilled Cheese - RM20

For my mains, I went for the Pimped Grilled Cheese, which comes with a good amount of duck bacon, parmesan cheese, ciabatta toasts with a sweet glaze at the edge. The dish itself may look small, but it is fulfilling nonetheless. The salty edge of the parmesan works really well in balancing out the sweetness of the toast, while the smoky duck bacon gives it that richness it deserves.

The Cowpenters - RM22

For a more standard sort of order, you can opt for The Cowpenters, which is similar to pasta with beef ragout. Though the flavours were there, I felt that it could just a bit more salt. In any case, the dish itself is fairly enjoyable.

Salmon Dill Open Sandwich - RM19

For the health conscious, this dish may be more of your pace. With the salmon cooked fairly nicely, the dish itself was enjoyable to say the least. Not the most flavourful nor the most exciting, but certainly a good dish to say the least.

Overall, Whup Whup Cafe is a great place to relax, with spacious and airy interior to the aromatic coffee, things couldn't get any better. Unless of course there are discounts. But apart from that, yep, pretty solid.
