MT Latte Cafe @ Ara Damansara

8:00:00 AM

It's been a while since the last time I went to a themed cafe. This time, I'll have to admit it really was quite cute. A construction themed cafe with safety helmets, visible jackets, tools and a yellow/brown colour balance throughout the cafe.

I've forgotten about the exterior so here's an interior.

The interior. Simple and fun.

Trying to take a hippy photo. Well, sort of.

Caramel Popcorn Latte - RM12.90

This is me second time trying out a popcorn latte, the first being in Doifee. Presentation-wise, it was quite nice. Though the ice cream melted too quickly, but it was alright. It was very milky and slightly sweeter than most latte, but not too much either. I wouldn't say its a balance, but it works for me.

Sausage Salad

Despite looking quite ridiculous at first, it quickly became addictive after my first bite. Sweet mayo with lightly seared sliced sausages on leafy greens. Absolutely simple!

Nasi Lemak Sandwich - RM12.90

I've had quite a number of sandwich over the years but this is the first time someone came up with this idea. There were similar ideas here and there but nothing come close in the end. Crispy fried chicken breast on a bed of salad topped with sunny side up egg, anchovies and peanuts on toasts, served with a deliciously sweet & spicy sambal sauce. It literally feels like nasi lemak in bread form.

Fish Fillet Sandwich

I'll take this over the McDonalds' Fillet o' Fish anyday and that is one of my favourites from McDonalds. Crispy and flakey fish fillet with plenty of mayonnaise on top served on a bed of salad and warm toasts with a smiley-face-cheese on top. Loved it.

Black Pepper Stewed Lamb Spaghetti

Aromatic, intense, tender and absolutely delicious. Beautifully stewed lamb that is amazingly tender and flavourful that goes really well with the spaghetti. Nothing overly complicated, just good ol' black pepper spaghetti with stewed lamb. Loved the flavour - recommended!

French Toast Sandwich

Creamy, rich, savory and moist - its a simple serving of sandwich that was an absolute delight. Came across a few similar ones over the years and this was one of the best I've had.

Overall, I felt that MT Latte Cafe had a consistency among all its dishes. None of them were bad as most were quite delicious. I had a few favourites really. Furthermore, they were able to prepare dishes at such quality despite the size of their kitchen - which was extremely tiny, much like a small box. Other cafes or restaurant that has way more space should have no excuse to produce something similar if not better.
