BBQ restaurants and all-you-can-eat places are sprouting like there is no tomorrow. Almost anywhere you go to, be it Subang, Damansara, Old PJ, New PJ, Cheras, Hartamas Bangsar, Sungai Buloh or practically anywhere else, you'll definitely find either one or both types of restaurant.
So, with all that being said, why else would there still be any new BBQ places? What value can they provide to their customers?
To answer that question, do join me on a journey to The BBQ Pit, where they offer extremely cheap all-you-can-eat BBQ with unmatched quality and taste.
The feast!
Nothing too fancy there, a small kiosk where all the food are prepared - right beside Buns & Meat.
RM19.90 BBQ!
These are the starting platter which comes together with the RM19.90 bbq. It has a series of vegetables such as pumpkin, eggplant, onions, mushrooms, boiled sweet potato and lettuce while on the other plate of meat you'll get deboned-drumsticks, marinated pork belly, chicken patty, bacon with enoki mushrooms and fresh prawns.
That is just the starters, customers will be free to choose anything they like on the ala-carte menu and have them delivered fresh upon order.

All these are just some of the ala-carte items that we went for during our feast. There are plenty more of those where they come from.
Premium Pre-orders & Requests!
The BBQ Pit by Buns & Meat also does premium pre-orders and requests. Simply call in advance (preferrably 2 days in advance) and check on the availability of it. There isn't a specific list of what items can you order but you can definitely work things out with them.
If you enjoy a good pomfret, pork ribs, wagyu steak, tiger prawns, sea bass, halibut, magic mushrooms or pretty much anything else, just give them all call. If the items is within reach, they'll need about an hour to check the pricing and get back to you.

These are some of the items that we had on the premium list. The possibilities are endless, simply call in to find out what is available today!
All order comes with a delicious serving of "The Bomb". This universally versatile dipping sauce works great on seafood, meat and vegetables. A warning tho, it gets spicier and spicier after each bite. Though at the beginning, it worked really well as an appetizer due to its acidic components.
If that isn't enough, simply order a bowl full of it!

In terms of its freshness, there is no doubt that it's one of the best out there. Quality produce at RM19.90? Sign me up! The only thing left is the cooking process. If you're not experienced enough to tell when it's cooked, do opt for help and they will assist you.
I enjoyed most of my meat a little under excluding pork as the residue heat will continue to cook it to perfection. In any case, the owner Robin has showned us a few steps around the BBQ pit.
That is not all, you might think that this is merely just a BBQ place. No, it isn't. There are claypot soups with an abundance of ingredients and delicious broth as well. I did not try the first one but I certainly did enjoy the second.
It's done with pork broth, mirin and a touch of sake, filled with clamps, shitake mushrooms and chilli padi. In any case, it was packed with a good amount of flavour and I loved the tinge of spiciness I get from it.
In conclusion, this is probably the best place for BBQ under RM20. Of course, this is still the opening promo so do head on down quick! There are limited seatings available as well and as of this moment, there are only fans and no portable air-con.
