Al Amar @ Fahrenheit 88, Jalan Bukit Bintang

This will be a short review about an Ice Cream stand that is managed by Al-Amar restaurant in Bukit Bintang. The shop is located right infront of Fahrenheit 88's main entrance. Also, its a restaurant that serves Lebanese cuisine. So happen I walk by and saw this particular ice cream that I have not had in many years. The last time this kinda ice cream was available was the one in Midvalley, but it shut down about 5-6 years ago. I believe this form or method of ice cream making is called Dondurma, a Turkish word for freezing, meaning this originated from Turkey.

The ice cream stand, nothing too fancy. They have 5 flavours, Strawberry, Durian, Chocolate, Vanilla and Mango.

Double Scoop Mango & Durian - RM9

This wasn't mine so I couldn't taste it.

Double Scoop Durian & Strawberry - RM9

To begin, I loved the texture of the ice cream. Its stretchy, similar to a chewing gum thing but not quite as tough (obviously). The flavours however wasn't exactly that great. I mean they were alright and not that bad but it just didn't have the "oomph". This could be a mistake in choosing the flavours of ice cream, I do not know.
In the past, There was only 2 options available, chocolate or vanilla. Combining both of them was perfect. They both felt and taste really different compared to regular ice cream providers. This on the other hand, taste similar to a sorbet. I liked it but I definitely will not pay RM9 again.

Price:-
Single Scoop - RM5
Double Scoop - RM9
Triple Scoop - RM12
